Tip Of The Month
Use a heavier gauge of guitar strings. When I first started playing I used the lightest gauge I could find. Little did I know I was sacrificing my sound. A heavier gauge string will have better tone. I would recommend at lightest 9's. I recently changed to 10's and can't believe the bigger sound! Move up a size and condition your fingers.
Breedlove Pro Series C25
I have been saving for a nice acoustic guitar for several years now. I have always had nice electric guitars but never a really nice acoustic. My dream guitar has always been a Gibson Dove but it is just too much money and after playing one I didn't think it was for me anyway. I played many Taylors, Martins, and a few others around $1500. I was sold on a Taylor, then I picked up a Breedlove. It was a Pro Series C25/CR, Herringbone, a concert-sized instrument with a soft cutaway, AAA solid Cedar top, AAA solid Rosewood back and sides, Ivoroid binding with Herringbone top purfling, Abalone rosette, and an L.R. Baggs Element Active pickup system with volume and tone controls. WOW! It didn't take long to decide what guitar I was buying. The only decision I had to make was whether to buy the concert or dreadnought. I bought the concert because it was comfortable holding it. It has the smoothest neck I have ever played. The workmanship of this guitar is unbelievable. They also have a bridge truss system that really enhances the sustain of the guitar. The only con I can find is the neck is little wider than what I was use to, but after getting use to it, I think I like it better now. If you have never played a Breedlove try one out, you might be surprised! This is an American made model. They also have a models made in Korea that are impressive also! My personal opinion, the American model had just a little better tone. The Korean model had Fishman electronics instead of LR Baggs. Both were impressive guitars. The American model street price $1499 Korean $799. I was told they both use the same materials but the American guitars are hand made.

Hi, I designed this site for a two reasons. One, I love guitar and I want this site to be a key tool in learning to play country style guitar. When I was younger I learned or was taught a lot of things that was not quite right. After getting in bands and playing with musicians more experienced than I was, I had to re-learn things that I had learned wrong. Through the years I have learned so much from tabs and videos, so I wanted to build a site with my own licks. My second reason was, I wanted to get my own name and music out where people can hear it. I am working on an instrumental CD I will have available in my store soon. Also, I am working on some downloadable instructional videos that will be available in the future. Hope you enjoy my site, bookmark it and please come back!
